Top 5 Wednesday 8 | Books from Before I Started Blogging

Hello, everyone! It's been a while since I last posted because I went on a trip to Mallorca with my friends from school. It was awesome catching up, but unfortunately I did not plan ahead, so I missed some post over here!

Top 5 Wednesday is a Goodreads group created by Lainey and now managed by Sam in which members a given a different literary topic each Wednesday of which we have to state our top 5 about. This week's topic is...

Books from Before I joined ...

I chose to write about my top 5 of the books from before I started my blog :) I started my blog 2 years ago, but before that, there had been some years in which my reading habits had become somewhat hindered by the more overwhelming stuff going on in my life - moving to a whole new country with different living schedules, the discovery of TV shows, etc. Thus, some of the books in this list will be those I read when I was 12 to 15 - which, let's face it, were the years when I was most successful with the books I chose to read... There are also

It's genuinely been really hard to choose only 5! In fact, I think this has been the hardest T5W I've written so far... Let's not forget I've only been blogging for 2 years, but I've been able to read for so much longer than that!

10 Books I Loved but Sadly don't Own :(

Hello there! In this week's post I will ramble on about book I have read and I have loved but unfortunately I still don't own. By "not own" I include books I checked out from the library and books I've been lent, but I also include e-book editions as, even though I do technically own them, if I REALLY liked a book I like having its printed version (plus hardcover if possible! hehe).

The books listed here are in no particular order - I wrote them down as I remembered about them :) If you click on the picture of each cover, you'll be taken to the Goodreads page for the book.

2016 Audiobook Challenge

As you might have read in a previous post, I first listened to an audiobook last year. My first ever audiobook was for the book Thirteen Reasons Why, by Jay Asher. I found it to be an extremely pleasant experience, you I've decided to give it a go and I've gone for the 2016 Audiobook Challenge, hosted by The Book Nympho and Hot Listens

The Book Nympho
(Click the button for more info)

As I am pretty new at this, I've not been too harsh on myself and I've chosen the easiest level to begin with - the Newbie (I'll give it a try) level, which means that I have to listen to between 1 and 5 audiobooks between January 1st 2016 and December 31st 2016. I've set my goal on 4 audiobooks. Let's see how it goes!

Happy Reading!

2016 Finishing the Series Challenge

Hello everyone!

I have found this challenge hosted by Bea from Bea's Book Nook, and I think it's a wonderful idea! I have been thinking lately about all the series I have left unfinished over the years for one reason or another which I should definitely go back to, and then suddenly... Boom! The perfect challenge for my purpose! :D  2016 Finishing the Series Challenge is precisely all about finishing the series which you have not finished yet, but you'd like to; and so I think this is a great opportunity to join the blog's first challenge!

Click the banner for more info on the challenge or follow the link:

I have chosen to do Level 3, which means that I have to finish between 3 and 6 series by the end of 2016. The following are the series I have chosen to finish, which I will make a post of whenever I do:

  • Mara Dyer Trilogy by Michelle Hodkin: 2 books to finish - The Evolution of Mara Dyer, The Retribution of Mara Dyer
  • The Kingkiller Chronicle by Patrick Rothfuss: 1 book to finish - The Wise Man's Fear (the third part hasn't been assigned a release date yet, but if it comes out soon enough, it will be part of the challenge too)
  • The Mortal Instruments series by Cassandra Clare: 3 books to finish - City of Fallen Angels, City of Lost Souls, City of Heavenly Fire
  • Saga Bajo el Cielo Púrpura de Roma by Alessandra Neymar: 3 books to finish - Traición, Colapso, Desafío
  • The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer: 3 books to finish - Scarlet, Cress, Winter
  • Miss Peregrine's Peculiar Children Series by Ransom Riggs: 2 books to finish - Hollow City, Library of Souls

Wish me luck!
